We identify citizens in need

Our partner organisations survey, identify and document affected families and map their livelihood needs for meals, rations etc.

You commit to a monthly contribution

You commit to a monthly contribution through a secure online payment gateway. Every month, as soon as your contribution arrives, we do a direct bank transfer to the beneficiary that has been identified for you from our recommended list.

Citizens receive money directly

Yes that’s it. Your contribution goes directly to the beneficiary's Bank account minus standard banking charges (2.6%)

Why don’t we directly distribute meal kits or rations instead of transfering money?

Cash transfers have arguably the strongest existing evidence base among anti-poverty tools, with dozens of high-quality evaluations of cash transfer programs spanning Africa, Asia, and Latin America and including both unconditional and conditional cash transfer. How do we ensure that the transferred cash is not abused?

Despite stereotypes that poor households will use cash transfers to buy alcohol, tobacco and other “temptation goods,” studies consistently show no significant impact or a significant negative impact of transfers on such spending.
